I’ve been Chairperson and Team Manager with the club for the last few years, becoming involved through my children who both swim at the club. I enjoy motivating the swimmers and seeing their confidence grow. I’m proud to be part of a club that cares for their members and encourages them to be their best.

Secretary

I have been a member of Swinton ASC for over 35 years and hold the position of Club Secretary. Previously, I have been Membership Secretary and am currently also acting in that capacity, enrolling all our swimmers with Swim England. I organise all swimming galas for the club, for the various swimming associations to which Swinton are affiliated. I am a British Swimming referee and have refereed many galas at both National & Local level. I have represented Swinton ASC at Bolton & District, Manchester & District, and Central Lancs Swimming Associations, rising to President for all three.

Like most parents I started off in the viewing area watching my boys every week then began to lend a helping hand, we always need volunteers.  I look after the kit, with a new Kit Shop launched July 2022, how exciting.  I have also organised fundraising events and continue to support fundraising activities.  These days you can usually find me on poolside keeping an eye on the little ones making sure they are alright.

I am a girl of many talents. I am a swimming parent who is also a Team Manager so you will often see me shouting and cheering on the swimmers.
I have two children; Callum, 18, who is still swimming and teaching too and Chloe, 12, who splits her time between gymnastics and swimming.
I also get involved in fundraising and have become affectionately known as ‘Clipboard Sue’.
