Water Polo is a game of endurance and teamwork. The sport is played in water so each player must demonstrate swimming skills alongside skills such as throwing, passing and catching.
Swim speed, upper body strength, and a strong leg kick, combined with hand and eye coordination makes a complete water polo player.
The objective is simple; score more goals than the opponents.
Sprint swimming, leg training and throwing drills will be practised in the early stages of water polo at Swinton ASC. We hope to not only show you the basics of water polo but also improve your swimming speed and strengthen up your leg kick.
